"one piece at a time" Autism Awareness Walk
In recognition of Autism Acceptance Month, CNY ASA typically invites the community to join us at its much anticipated and much loved annual "one piece at a time" Autism Awareness Walk. For April 2021, in lieu of the Walk, we are hosting a month-long virtual steps challenge to raise awareness. All are welcome to participate.
Create your own team of family and friends to participate in support, or go solo! Participants also have the opportunity to raise funds to support community programs for individuals with autism. Contributions can be made online via CNY ASA's Firstgiving site. Fundraising is not a requirement to participate in the Walk; there is no registration fee. As always, our main goal is to raise awareness and acceptance of autism and its related disorders in our community. Monies raised will enable CNY ASA to continue to enrich our community with collaborative programming, recreational opportunities, continuing education, and assistance to families seeking supports/therapies.
Those choosing to fundraise are eligible for prize incentives based on the level of funds raised; prizes will be offered at the $100, $250, $500, and $1,000+ levels. Every dollar helps support our ability to best support our community. An event shirt will be given to all participants registered who raise a minimum of $25 by March 17. Additional shirts are available for purchase if ordered by March 17.
Send us your photos from participating to include in our event album on social media. Help promote awareness by sharing your photos on social media, tag us, and use the hashtags: #onepieceatatime #CelebrateDifferences #autismacceptance.
Together, let's do this:
one step at a time, one piece at a time, and...it starts with the first step!
Email [email protected] with any questions. We look forward to your participation!

On September 13, 2020, the 6th annual Autism Invitational Golf Tournament took place at Camillus Hills Golf Club. It was wonderful to see the show of support from so many of our ongoing supporters as well as many new faces. We are so grateful to the sponsors, donors, and participants. Lastly, many thanks to organizer Jim Nightingale for his committment to CNY ASA and our autsim community!
Thank you also to our raffle prize donors, including Antonio's, Home Depot, The Pie Guys, Plaza Wine & Liquors, T. Briggs Lawn Care & Snowplowing, Vine & Barrel, and The Wildcat - Camillus.
With the help of its generous customers, John's Auto Care in Solvay has supported CNY ASA for many years.
Last Fall, John's organized the Autumn for Autism Fundraiser. We are so grateful for John's continuous support of our organization and mission!
